Babadag Road Guide

How to get to Babadag launch by road.

How Long Does the Drive Up Babadağ Take?

The Babadağ mountain road runs from Ölüdeniz up to the launch points and takes about 30–35 minutes by vehicle, climbing roughly 1,200 metres through switchbacks with sea views the whole way.

What Is the Road Like?

The road is paved and well maintained, though narrow and winding in sections — which is why it's driven by experienced local transfer drivers rather than most rental cars. With Atmos Paragliding, the mountain transfer is included in every tandem package, so you ride up as a passenger and can enjoy the views instead of the driving.

Road vs Cable Car — Which Should You Take?

Both routes reach the same launch area, and the choice usually comes down to preference: the road gives you a closer look at the pine forest and switchback views, while the teleferik (cable car) offers a faster, more direct ascent. Tandem passengers don't need to choose — it's arranged for you as part of the package.

What to Expect on the Way Up

Your pilot uses the drive time for your safety briefing, so by the time you reach the launch point you already know what to expect. Bring a light jacket — temperatures at 1,200–1,900m are noticeably cooler than at sea level, especially in the morning.
