Understanding flying conditions at Babadağ.
Ölüdeniz combines a warm Mediterranean climate with the 1,960-metre bulk of Babadağ Mountain rising straight from the sea. That combination produces reliable thermals, predictable daily wind cycles and one of the longest flying seasons in Europe — from late April into early November.
It is the main reason this small Turkish beach town became a world capital of tandem paragliding: on most days of the season, somewhere on the mountain there is a launch that works.

Before every slot our pilots check wind speed and direction at the launches and the landing zone, live conditions on the mountain and the short-term forecast. Flights only launch inside safe operational limits set by SHGM regulations and our own standards.
If your slot is not flyable, we move you to the next suitable window — usually the same day.
Mornings for the smoothest air, midday for the longest thermal flights, and the last slots for sunset light. All three are great — it depends on the experience you want.
Wind above safe limits, rain, or low cloud on the launches. Cancellations are usually short pauses rather than lost days — we rebook you into the next flyable window.
Often yes — high cloud is no problem at all. Only low cloud sitting on the launch or active rain stops flying.
