The 1960m summit is the highest launch point on Babadağ, used by competition pilots and experienced XC flyers.
Just below the 1,960-metre summit, this is the highest commercial launch on Babadağ — and one of the highest tandem takeoffs in the world. Competition pilots, experienced XC flyers and adventurous tandem passengers start here for the ultimate Ölüdeniz flight.
Launching from the summit means maximum altitude, maximum airtime and a 360-degree panorama that stretches from the Taurus mountains to the open Mediterranean.
Summit flights typically last 30–45 minutes. The descent covers nearly two vertical kilometres, gliding over ridgelines, pine forest and the world-famous Blue Lagoon before a soft landing on the beach promenade.
This is also where Babadağ's competition heritage lives: international paragliding and acro events use the summit area, and on many days you will share the sky with some of the world's best pilots.
The Babadağ cable car runs to the summit station, where a terrace and café sit right beside the launch areas. Even if you are not flying, the summit is worth the trip — but the best way down will always be by glider.
The summit area offers launch options in several directions, which makes it usable across different wind patterns. Conditions are assessed by our SHGM-certified pilots before every flight — if the summit is not right on the day, we fly from a lower launch and the beach landing stays exactly the same.
Yes — adventurous first-timers can fly from near the summit when conditions are suitable. Your pilot makes the final call on launch height on the day, always prioritising safety.
Usually 30–45 minutes — the longest tandem flights available in Ölüdeniz. Exact duration depends on wind and thermal conditions.
No launch is used unless conditions are safe. The summit demands more experience from the pilot, which is why all our summit flights are flown by senior SHGM-certified tandem pilots.
Tandem flights available daily April – October. Book online or contact us directly.
