What insurance and permissions you need to fly at Oludeniz.
Flying Babadağ as a visiting solo pilot requires three things in order: a recognised paragliding licence appropriate to the site, valid third-party liability insurance covering paragliding, and site registration with the applicable fees paid.
None of it is complicated — but arriving with documents ready turns registration into a five-minute formality instead of a lost morning.
What is accepted in practice:
Third-party liability covering paragliding is the non-negotiable minimum — standard travel insurance usually excludes it, so check the wording. Many national association memberships include suitable liability cover that is valid abroad.
Personal accident and repatriation cover is strongly recommended on top; specialised providers offer short-term policies for flying trips.
Registration happens at the mountain with the site authority: documents checked, fees paid, current rules and NOTAMs briefed. Our team can walk you through the current process and costs before you arrive — ask us when planning your trip.
Most national licences are recognised in combination with an IPPI card. Bring both plus proof of insurance, and registration at the site is straightforward.
Usually not — standard policies typically exclude flying sports. You need explicit paragliding liability cover, plus ideally personal accident and repatriation cover.
Fees change season to season, so we avoid quoting stale numbers — contact our team before your trip and we will confirm the current registration and launch fees.
Tandem flights available daily April – October. Book online or contact us directly.
